10 weekly labs were conducted. The labs were assessed for 2% each and were submitted on each student's learning journal. The lab materials were synonymous to that of the assignment materials.
Assignment
The assignment was to design components relevant to a scenario client (Uber). This was separated into 6 sections:
The ERD that illustrates the entities, attributes and relationships of the proposed system.
A highly modified excel sheet that completed required functions and equations.
A Data Flow Diagram that shows the data flow of the system.
An MS access file containing relevant tablels and queries.
Two sections that rotated around certain topics such as e-commerce types and business models.
Reflection:
Although most materials were covered in prior studies in the BIT program, highly interesting information revolving around e-commerce and the models and types, as well their benefits and disadvantages were covered. Additionally, the experience of using Access as well as gaining a basic certificate that demonstates my ability to use access was obtained. Overall, the course was very enjoyable and informative.
